Naomi was born and raised on Manhattan’s Upper West side, in the cultural hub of classical music, dance and the arts. She studied dance at the Russian School of Ballet, followed by the renowned New York’s Performing Arts High School. Studying to be a prima ballerina, at 16 she had a change of heart to focus on further development of her painting style and skills. She received her Bachelor’s Degree in Art at the City College of New York in 1971, and attended the Art Students League. A Master’s Degree in Art Education at Columbia University followed in 1973. Post graduate study continued at the Moore College of Art in Philadelphia.
Naomi Malka Litzenblatt is a writer with paints. She celebrates life through her art and relates the majesty and dignity of life that each individual brings to this magical world. Naomi has a strong background in dance, which is most evident in the lyricism of her work. Music and dance are strong components of her canvases and sketches.
