Ever since she was very young, Kate Lackman has had a passion for art and has been intensely active in her artistic development.  She received a BFA from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio, and became a commercial artist before turning to oil painting.  Lackman studied painting, attending workshops of well-known artists, Daniel Greene, Quang Ho, Timothy Thies and C.W. Mundy.

Her paintings are rendered in strong, warm hues and endeavor to draw the viewer into the work.
